Triangular wood bell with two wooden clappers projecting from mouth of the bell and twisted plant fiber rope passing through a hole near the top of the bell.

Large wood camel bells are attributed to herdsmen in Somalia, Ethiopia and northern Kenya. Among these peoples the camel is the backbone of the economy and a symbol of the nomadic way of life. Female camels are kept as milk animals, males as beasts of burden.
